Zhalong is the famous rare aquatic bird natural reserve located in the lower section of Wuyuer River, 30 kilometers to Qiqihaer City. Here, the major protected animal is red crown crane and other wild bird, called the natural paradise of aquatic birds.
Covering an area of 40 thousand square kilometers, there are many rivers and lakes. Every April, May, August and September, there are 2 to 3 hundred kinds of wild aquatic birds gather here, forming a grand scene. The reserve is famous for cranes, such as red crown crane, white crane, etc. Red crown crane is a kind of very precious crane, there are only 500 in the reserve, a quarter of the total in the world. So it is called the hometown of red crown crane. Except for crane, there are swans, egrets, etc. and it is the real kingdom of wild bird.
Traffic： Go around: Take the bus from the First Plaza of Qiqihaer, three times a day, the time taken is 1 hour, and the double way fare is 10 RMB. In rush season, there are direct train to the spot. If you want to rent the car, the fare is 150 RMB per half day, the time is less than an hour.
