Yuntaishan is located at the southern foothills of Taihangshan Mountains, just to the north of Jiaozuo, Henan Province. Covering a total area of approximately 556 square km, Yuntaishan enjoys such accolades as State Key scenic spots, national AAAA level scenic spots, national geological parks, national forest parks, and national water scenery spots.
