Longzhong Scenic Spot is located 13 kilometers away from Xiangfan City, covering an area of 209 square kilometers. It integrates historical and cultural scenery with the hill landscape, including Ancient Longzhong, Shuijing Height, Cheng’en Temple, Qili Mountain and Hezichuan.
Ancient Longzhong is the major scenery, with abundant scenery of humanities and natural scenery. The famous “Three Visits to the Thatch” and “Longzhongdui” happened here. Longzhong Zhuge Liang Former Residence is one of the important memorials for Zhuge Liang. There are Sangu Hall, Wuhou Temple, Sanyi Palace, Caolu Pavilion, Baoxi Pavilion, Liujiao Well, Yeyun Temple, as well as Gonggeng Field, Xiaohong Bridge, Banyue Brook, Laolong Cave, Liangfu Rock and Baoxi Rock. Recently Yinxiao Height, Han Culture Scenic Spot, Longquanju, etc. have been built. Except for historical sites, it is a beautiful natural scenery.

Xiangfan falls within the transitional zone between temperate zone monsoonal climate zone to subtropical zone monsoonal zone, it is cold and dry in winter, warm and humid in spring, hot and rainy in summer, cool and dry in autumn. The average annual temperature is around 16℃ (except for mountain area), the best travel time is spring and autumn.
