The former name of Beijing Shihua Cave is Qianzhen Cave or Shifo Cave. It is located at Nancheying Village, Fangshan District, Beijing, which is 50 kilometers away from Beijing urban area. People can go there by driving along Beijing-Shijiazhuang Highway and then diverting to Shihuadong from Liangxiang Exit.

Beijing has distinct seasons. The summer is hot and the winter is cold. The temperature is neither cold nor hot in spring and autumn, but there may be sandstorms in spring. May is the most colorful month in Beijing; many international performances will be shown at that time. The best travel season is from April to November.
