| Short Description: | The scenery in Shennongtan is various and charming with rare pines, flowers, birds and apes and the quintessence of peak, vale, cave and stone. It is named because Emperor Yan- Shennong who sowed corn here and tasted grasses. When you stand on the top of Violet Golden Peak, you will feel that the sky and earth combine together, the other mountains are smaller than this one. It is that hubbub under you foot, cloud and mist are near you. |

Shennongtan Scenic Spot is located in the south foot of Taihang Mountain which is 25 kilometers away from northwest of Qinyang City, Jiaozuo, Henan Province with an area of 50.2 square kilometers. It is AAAA national scenic spot. It is named because Emperor Yan- Shennong who sowed corn here and tasted grasses. There are eight spots including violet gold peak, Yunyang River, Xianshen River, Black Dragon Pool, Baisongling, Linchuan Temple, Xuangu Mountain and Yaoshun Rd.
There are many propagations in Shennongtan including five State Special Protected Animals such as gold carve, musk, ten rare foliages and thousands of exotic flowers and rare herbs. The beautiful scenery, abundant landscapes and dangerous original forest which will give you exciting experience if you travel here.
