It has Bizhang Square, flower-bed and fountain in the front, as well as the statue of Sun Yat-sen. The hall has the exhibits of the Wuchang Uprising, the achievements of Sun Yat-sen, Huangxing, etc. There are over 1000 culture relics and over 10000 historic pictures related to the Revolution in 1911 in the hall. |

Memorial Hall of Wuchang Uprising in 1911 Revolution lies in the north of Yuemachang. It covers a total area of 28 mu, of which the building area is over 6000 square meters. The main building is a red two-storied one, so it is also called “Red Chamber”, which is the state level key historical relics protection unit.. In front of the Red Chamber, there is a large square, where a bronze statue of Dr. Sun Yat-sen is erected.
There are mainly two exhibits in the hall, one is the reappearance of the governor’s mansion of Hubei Army, another is the exhibits of the historical sites of Wuchang Uprising in 1911. The former mainly reappears the scene of the early days of the governor’s mansion, the latter is in the west building, showing 400 exhibits such as culture relics, historic pictures, arts, graphs, models and scenes to display the great history of Wuchang Uprising in a panoramic view.

Wuhan falls within subtropical humid monsoonal climate with clear seasons and abundant rainfall. The summer is muggy and hot, the temperature will be above 40 ℃ for over a dozen days, the winter is cold and humid.
