| Short Description: | The Liuhou Memorial is simple but dignified with copper-liked statues of Liu Zongyuan and his followings in it. The exhibitions, charts, painting and calligraphy introduced the whole life and achievement of Liu Zongyuan detailedly. There are also steles “Long Cheng Shi Ke” (meaning Stone Carving in the Dragon City) written by Liu Zongyuan and “Li Zi Bei” (meaning Stele of Litchi) written by Su Shi. |

Liuhou Park is located in the center of Liuzhou City and the north bank of Liujiang River. It was built in 1906 in order to memorialize the famous ideologist, litterateur and politician Liu Zongyuan in Tang Dynasty. There are historic sites of Liuhou Memorial, the Cenotaph of Liu Zongyuan and Luochi Pool etc. Through enlarging and repairing the historic sites and adding some kiosks and stages, it has become a compositive cultural park of 15.5ha. Liuhou Park is divided into three parts which are south, north and middle. The south part is the historic sites and cultural relic area, with sites of Tang and Song Dynasties and stone carvings of Ming and Qing Dynasties, the repaired buildings and the towering age-old trees are in a harmony, with an ancient atmosphere. The middle part is for amusement and leisure, and there are amusement park, artificial lake and zoo etc. The amusement park has almost all kinds of amusement equipments and is the largest amusement park in Liuzhou City. The north part is the flower and miniascape area. The “Returning Landscape” miniascape garden located in the north of the part is man-made but never feels artificial, with beautiful cloister, waterside pavilion, kiosks and pools. The rock hill, grass, flowing water and carving steles, make the garden appear the characteristic of South China gardening.

Incity Transportation: Liuhou Park is in the center of the city, and you can take Bus 2, 6, 12, 19, 24, 25, 27, 30, 31 and get off at Liuhou Park. (Remarks: A majority of buses in Liuzhou will stop at Liuhou Park.)
