Jokhang Temple (大昭寺) is located in downtown Lhasa's Barkhor Square in Tibet. The temple covers an area of about six acres (25,100 square meters). It is the most sacred and important Buddhist temple, and the ultimate pilgrimage destination for most Tibetans.

The recommended time for a visit is two hours.
