Locus Tree Ancestor Worship Tourist Zone is located in the north of Hongdong County, Shanxi Province, it is a famous immigrants’ sits of Ming dynasty, and also the shrine that numerous descendants come to search for their roots. For several centuries, the Locus Tree is considered as the home, ancestor and roots, and becomes the hometown of hundreds of millions of people. Searching for roots has become the features of the tourist zone.
The range and numbers of Hongdong migrants rank top in the world. More than half of the Chinese people take Hongdong as their cradle, although 600 years has passed. Now Locus Tree has been constructed in full scale to satisfy the need for root search. It fully shows the root searching cultural connotation Locus Tree.
