Honghu Lake & Lantian Ecological Tourism Scenic Zone is located in the northwest of Honghu Lake, and it is an ecological tourism district built on the base of Honghu Lake. There are over 10 scenic spots around the lake: lotus belt, lotus root district, lotus watching corridor, and nine-curve bridge porch, Guanyin Buda Lotus Base, Lotus Beauty, Love House on Fishing Island and Lotus Origin Island. There are lots of places of interest: Ecological Park, Lotus Pond, Revolutionary Capital, and Ming & Qing Dynasty Street. What an amazing natural picture!
There is vast water in this scenic zone with well-run ecosystem. There are thick seaweeds and over 70 kinds of fish in Honghu Lake. It is a heaven for fish, seagulls and birds. There are also beautiful lotuses in white and red scattering in the connecting ponds. Besides, Xinluo branch of Yangtze River is the conservation zone for white dolphins, so tourists have a chance to see the national rare animal.

- Get in
Take a coach at Hankou Jinjiadun Coach Station or Wuchang Fujiapo Coach Station and take off at Fengkou Town, and then take a bus to Qujiawan. It takes 3 hours and costs 35 RMB.
- Get around
Take a coach at Jingzhou Coach Station to Fengkou Town, and take a bus to Qujiawan. It takes 4 hours and costs 45 RMB. Alternatively, you can take a bus at Honghu Lake, and it takes an hour and costs 15 RMB.
- Transportation inside scenic spot:
Tourists can take yacht or boats on the lake. Each air-conditioner boat seat is charged 30 RMB, each yacht seat is charged 35 RMB, and each common boat seat is charged 25 RMB.

It is sub-tropical climate in Jingzhou City. It is comfortable here. Season differs from each other. It has plenty of rain and warm during the same period. The annual average temperature is around 16 ℃. It is best to travel here is spring and autumn.
