| Short Description: | Liushi Manor covers a total area of over 70 thousand square meters, and has a building area of 21055 square meters, the layout is complicated with winded paths, reflecting how the Lius’ occupied farmers’ land and expanded the manor; the well preserved manor, thousands of cultural relics and nearly 10 thousand exhibition objects consist an organic whole, it is the typical building of Sichuan landlord manor, showing the modern landlord manor integrating warlord, official, landlord and bully, it is an important place to study and research the semi-feudal semi-colonized society, cultural buildings, the warlord history, folk custom of China. The building is very luxurious, with various shapes such as rectangular, square, terrace and rhombus. There are pavilions, attics, buildings with painted pillars and ceilings every where, the windows, doors are carved with beautiful patterns such as animals, flowers, plants and auspicious pictures. |

Originally named as Dayi Liushi Landlord Manor Exhibition Hall, Dayi Liushi Manor Museum is located in Anren town, Dayi County, 52 kilometers southwest of Chengdu City.
Built in 1928-1942, Liushi Manor covers an area of over 70 mu with 350 rooms. It consists of old manor and new manor. The walls around the manor are as high as nearly 7 meters. When landlord Liu Wencai occupied the land of a household, he had a layer of wall and a door built. The manor is closed with layers of walls. The building is very luxurious, with various shapes such as rectangular, square, terrace and rhombus. There are pavilions, attics, buildings with painted pillars and ceilings every where, the windows, doors are carved with beautiful patterns such as animals, flowers, plants and auspicious pictures. There are halls, guestrooms, reception rooms, accountant, barn, secret treasury, water prison, temple, Xiaoyao Palace, garden, orchard, etc, and many other objects. It is a typical place to study landlord economy of China.
Rebuilt in October, 1958, and approved as the 9th batch of foremost protected monuments by the state council in November, 1966, it is one of the most representative and important buildings of Chinese modern times. In the past 40 years, it has accumulated rich collections. Now it has over 20 thousand collections, and a huge and well preserved manor group, as well as many objects and data, together with exhibition, Liushi Manor has become an organic whole for the study and research of semi-feudal semi-colonized society, cultural buildings, the warlord history, folk custom of China. It is a miniature of the country of China, and an aspect of the development of Chinese society.

- Go around: the distance from Chengdu is 52+13 kilometers, drive along Chengdu-Wenjiang-Chongzhou-Dayi. Expressway to Dayi County (52 kilometers), it takes about 1 hour, and then drive 12 kilometers to Anren Town, the manor is in Anren Town.
- Taxi price: A mdium bus with about 20 seats:￥900 per day.
- A mini bus with 12 seats: ￥700 per day
- 7 seats Toyota or Mitsubishi Off-road Vehicle: ￥70 per day.

- Hire a tour guide, for you may not know much about the history.
- There are lots of restaurant next to the manor, so better have lunch at Anren Town. *Recommendations: Wencai Rib, pickles, etc.

Chengdu falls within subtropical monsoonal climate, the spring is early, the summer is hot, the autumn is cool and the winter is warm. The annual temperature is 16 ℃, and the rain concentrates in July and August. It is dry in spring and winter, the snow is very rare. The best travel time is March to June, September to November.
