ChinaTravelGuide:Docents
From ChinaTravelGuide
ChinaTravelGuide docents are article contributors who can answer your specific questions about some destinations. They can be local tour guides, or someone who's very knowledgeable about certain places (hometown, places they live and work, ...)
[edit] Becoming a docent
Would you like the pleasure of introducing the beautiful destinations in China to people all over the world? Would you like to share your local knowledge with others? Would you like to build a close friendship with the travelers on ChinaTravelGuide.com community?
To become a docent for a destination, append the following tag to the end of an article:
{{Docent|Username}}
Replace "Username" with your actual user name.
If there is already a docent listed, add your name on the next line:
{{Docent|Username}}
{{Docent|Username2}}
[edit] Nominating a docent
If you know someone with lots of good insider knowledge about a destination, you think he/she would be a great docent, put a comment on their talk page:
- You seem to know a lot about [[insert place name here]], have you considered becoming a [[ChinaTravelGuide:Docents|Docent]]? --~~~~
[edit] Rights and Responsibilities
- Docents should create a Docent section on their user page (see User page (docent) template). On user page, a docent can put his/her detailed information and how he/she would like to be contacted: through his/her user talk page, via email, IM, IRC, etc.
- Docents should put unbiased and real guide information on the articles they contributed.
- Docents are not "in charge" of an article. They have the same control over article content as any contributor. Issues should still be resolved on the appropriate talk pages or through site administrators.
