Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport

Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport (成都双流国际机场) (CTU) is 16km to the southwest of downtown Chengdu. It is a major passenger and cargo airport in the Southwest China.

The airport started its life as a military airport in 1938 during the second Sino-Japanese War and World War II. It now flights to all major cities in China and to more than 20 international destinations.

The airport is connected with downtown Chengdu via an expressway.
