China Dinosaur Park, located in Xinbei District, Changzhou City, is a famous theme park in Jiangsu Province. The park covers an area of about 600 mu (98 acres), and hosts a collection of dinosaur bones and fossils from all over China. It was built in the mid 1990's following the unexpected discovery of dinosaur fossils in Changzhou.
The park is a combination of exhibits on dinosaurs and amusement park style rides and games. The exhibits cover about 20,000 square meters, and contains more than ten halls, including "Evolution Hall" and "Woods Hall". Exhibition halls display fossils, reconstructed models of dinosaurs, and exhibits about their life and habits. The dinosaur theme continues throughout the park with more than 30 amusement programs - its roller coasters and other fairground attractions all use dinosaur motifs. Besides fossils and family oriented rides, Dinosaur Park is home to a giant panda and sea lions. There are also 70 different kinds of trees and more than 4,000 plants in the park.
The park also hosts a big International Lantern Festival every year. During this festival, many fireworks and beautiful lanterns dress up the park. Tourists are welcomed with a big parade and numerous cartoon costumes dances.
Reaching much further back in history than the rest of Jiangsu's sights, the Changzhou Dinosaur Park is a fun introduction to the science and natural history of dinosaurs. China is one of the world's foremost sites of dinosaur discoveries and research. And in line with that, the park provides not only a center of entertainment and education, but doubles as a research center. In the past several years, the park has hosted a series of symposiums on dinosaurs and made public new findings in the field.

- 1 Airport: You can get to Hongdoushanzhuang by bus 32 first, and then take bus 302 to the park.
- 2 Railway station and coach station: You can get to the park directly by bus 19 from the railway station. Or you can get to Xintiandi Flower Market by bus 35, 29, 32 first, and take bus 302 to the park.
- 3 University: By bus 302
- 4 You can get to the park by bus 26 from the downtown.

Climate at the transition area between subtropical and temperate zones. The four seasons varies greatly during a year. Spring and autumn are moderate, while summer and winter go extremely opposite. Summer is torrid, but gathers majority of the rainfall. The plum rain period lasts from June to July. Also during the summer, rainstorm and typhoon are more likely to happen. The best travel time is spring and autumn.
