Eight kilometers to the north of Ya’an City, Bifengxia has two canyons: the left one is seven kilometers long and the right one is six kilometers long. It looks like the letter V with a width of 30-70 meters and an altitude of 700-1971 meters. And the relative height of the canyon is 100-200 meters. Vegetations, canyons and waterfalls are distinctive in the scenic area. The trees inside the canyon is lush, mountains range, and cliff are steep. The various kinds of waterfalls add spice to the splendid scenery. The stream down the valley rush forward with the voice and white wave. Visitors can experience what danger, beauty and quietness are when they go long the 1.5 meters wide path in the scenic area which comprises four major scenic spots: Befengxia, White Horse Spring, Mt. Zhougong, and Lake Yucheng. There are more that 60 scenic spots in all, for example, Yellow Dragon Canyon, Fairy Bridge, Bailongtan Waterfall and etc

- Go around: shuttle buses are available in Ya’an City to the scenic area. The time is 6：00-18：00 and the fare is ￥5.5.
- Get in: shuttle buses from Chengdu to Bifengxia at Chengdu South Gate Bus Station are available to the scenic area.

- Visitors are expected to take rain coats or umbrellas and take care of cameras in case of rain and moisture.

Ya’an belongs to tropical monsoon so the climate is agreeable. Winter is not cold and summer is not scorching. The annual average air temperature is about 15. Additionally, it often rains and the city is called Rain City, so it is suitable to travel here except in rainy seasons.
