Shennong Brook is also called Yandu River, it is AAAA Level Scenic Spot of China, it is the first branch after the Yangtze River runs out of Wu Valley, originates from the south slope of Hubei Shennongjia Original Forest, being called “the Pearl of the west of Hubei”.
The whole length of Shennong Brook is 60 kilometers, consists of Longchang Valley, Yingyu Valley, Shennong Valley and Jinzhu Valley, with flourishing bush and flagrant flowers, and many animals such as monkeys, goats, swallows and fishes. There are over 60 caverns, and over 30 beaches. People here use a kind of boat like beans. You will feel the interest at the wild if you are in such boat drifting in the brook.

Traffic: Tourists could go to Chongqing, Yichang, Wuhan, etc, and then take the boats to Dabadong Passenger Wharf, or change bus at Chongqing, Yichang or Wuhan, arriving at Shien, Badong, there are regular buses and boats at the wharf.

Shi’en Tujiazu Autonomous Region falls within subtropical mountain monsoonal climate, with no cold winters and hot summers. The rain mainly concentrates in summer and autumn, the whole year is very humid. The best time to visit Shien is spring, April or May when it is sunny and not so rainy.
